What’s the relationship between Skill-Builder Projects and the Virtual-Internship Projects?
- Answer: All virtual-internship projects are expansions of our Skill-Builder Projects from the AI Project Engine. Evaluations ensure that all team members are well-prepared, having familiarized themselves with the necessary tools, programming languages, and foundational concepts.

- Answer: Participants can choose between two types of team settings: STEM-Away Teams for a structured, collaborative environment, or Solo/Custom Teams for participants seeking greater autonomy and flexibility in their project approach.

Can I get academic credit for the virtual-internship?
- Answer: If your school or college awards academic credits for internships, we can collaborate with your institution to arrange academic credits for your participation. All accepted interns will receive a standard offer letter; please note that we cannot accommodate individualized offer letter requests.
NOTE: Academic credit applies to STEM-Away teams only. Members working solo or in their own teams cannot apply for academic credit.

Do I need work authorization for these internships?

- Initial Step: Participants take a multiple-choice test by clicking the evaluation button on their chosen project. A minimum score of 8 is required to advance.
- Next Round: Successful candidates then engage in a chat session with a t3 AI mentor. This session is assessed via NLP analysis to evaluate their readiness and suitability for advanced project roles and additional benefits.

What is the cost of participation?
- Answer: Premium features on the platform can be accessed using tacks, which can be earned through active participation or included within certain plans. Specifically, access to the STEM-Away Mentorship feature as part of the AI Project Engine requires purchasing a plan. How are meeting times decided?

- Team Meetings: Scheduled by team leads based on team member availability. Teams can use STEM-Away® chat channels or other platforms to facilitate these meetings.
- Mentor-Led Meetings: Scheduled between 7 AM to 7 PM Pacific Time to accommodate a broad range of participants. Meeting minutes are shared with the team, and forums are used extensively to minimize conflicts.
