How It Actually Works
What's the evaluation flow?
Each project lives as a forum post with an attached AI evaluator. Evaluation is a 3-step process: (1) Quick MCQ warm-up to calibrate level, (2) Open-book AI conversation that adapts to responses, (3) You get transcript, scores, and narrative assessment of strengths and areas for development.
What kinds of projects can AIVIA evaluate?

How are results scored?
AIVIA evaluates across multiple dimensions (like problem-solving, code quality, communication) based on a transparent rubric. You get a detailed transcript showing the conversation, scores for each dimension, and an overall skill level (e.g., Beginner / Intermediate / Expert).
How does prescreening save me interview time?

How many tries do candidates get?
When you send an invite, candidates get 2 free attempts. After that, they can continue using tokens (either purchased for a small fee or earned through community contributions). Questions vary by attempt, and candidates choose which results to save.
Is cheating a problem if it's open-book?
Real work is open-book too. AIVIA evaluates how candidates think and solve problems, not what they’ve memorized. The AI asks follow-up questions, explores edge cases, and adapts to responses. You can’t fake understanding through an adaptive conversation. Plus, you verify key claims in the interview.
Do candidates get feedback?

We don’t use personal data to train our models. We only use aggregate, anonymized patterns to improve the system.

Practical Details
How long does an evaluation take for candidates?
Typically around 30 minutes. Remember, it’s open-book and conversational - more like a technical discussion than a timed test.
What programming languages and tech stacks do you support?
We cover the major ecosystems - Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C++, Go, Rust, and their common frameworks. The AI evaluator focuses on problem-solving and system design thinking, not syntax minutiae. If you need something specific, custom projects are included (one per month).
