Our prep modules are designed to:
- Teach the tools and workflows you’ll use in the hackathon
- Help match you with teams that are equally prepared if using STEM-Away Team Matching
- Ensure you’re ready to contribute from day one
How Qualification Works
The AIVIA™ 360 Evaluation
- What is it? A chat-based AI-driven Q&A session
- How long? Typically 15-30 minutes
- What’s tested? Your understanding of the prep module concepts
- Can I retake? Yes! 2 free attempts included per module
Two-step process:
- First: Complete a quick MCQ after reading the prep module (confirms you’ve reviewed the material). A passing score unlocks the AIVIA Evaluation.
- Then: Pass the AIVIA 360 chat evaluation (deeper conceptual questions).
Important: You don’t need to build the project - just understand the concepts well enough to discuss them.

Module Difficulty Levels
Modules progress from beginner to advanced:
Level 1: Foundations - Start here if new to the topic
Level 2: Intermediate - Build on basics with practical skills
Level 3: Advanced - Master complex implementations
Important: Numbers indicate difficulty level, not order. You can start at ANY level that matches your experience!
